We’re not quite done with the Greek fighters, or characters that were brought up in the Libra of Soul mode. Considering that she already makes an appearance in Sophitia’s story mode in Soul Chronicle, Cassandra seems like a solid bet for a DLC character. Though Sophitia has always been a popular choice amongst Soulcalibur fans, the upbeat attitude of Cassandra makes her more immediately likeable. Though her and Sophitia share a similar moveset, Cassandra is more energetic and excitable in fighting style, and she also uses her ass as a weapon, because nothing stops a knight with a 12 foot sword dead in his tracks like a sudden butt attack.

The sister of series stalwart Sophitia, Cassandra made her first proper appearance in the fantastic Soulcalibur II as a feistier version of her sister. She even gets a mention in the Libra of Soul mode, so consider that an official confirmation. Still, it appears like she was balanced for Soulcalibur V, so there’s no reason why she can’t make an appearance in the latest game.

Still, those same combos led to the character being banned from offline tournament play in Soulcalibur IV, mainly because she possessed an uncanny ability to ring people out consistently. The young queen of the Wolfkrone Kingdom could also utilise charged combos to do insane amounts of damage to her opponents, though performing these combos was a skill that only the pros could muster. Using a variety of taekwondo-esque techniques, Yun-Seong is capable of decimating everybody in the right hands. His Chinese Sword style gives him attacks that strike a nice balance between speed and power, making him a decent all-round fighter, but it’s his kicks that set him apart. Shame that the sword is cursed, huh? Guess poor Yun-Seong is going to have to find out the hard way.
